Calgary, Alberta is home to my favourite snowboarding and skiing hills at the Canada Olympic Park. I wouldn´t consider myself a professional, but I certainly enjoy the sports and know a great mountain when I see one. A perfect location, Calgary is nesteled in the foothills of the famous Rocky Mountains and along the banks of the Bow River. I thoroughly enjoyed tons of quality outdoor adventures in the pristine wilderness and was overjoyed to experience a beautiful city full of vibrancy and heritage!

My visit took place in July which allowed me to experience the famous Calgary Stampede! This top-notch event is unbelievably entertaining. Sponsored by various large companies, the Calgary Stampede includes famous names in virtually every genre of music!

Another great feature in Calgary are their ´backcoutnry lodges.´ After a long day of skiing, snowboarding, or shopping, it was wonderful to come back to a deliciously warm, casual lodge and enjoy an excellent meal of local foods. The employees even play the role of social hosts, making sure the conversation is flowing and everyone is having a good time. I thouroghly enjoyed this trip and I´m sure whatever your choice of activity or lodge, your experience at this delightful city will be equally memorable!
