Engelbert Gayagoy

Engelbert first studied in Paris, France, where he initially focused on fashion but moved on to study the French language, literature and architecture. His passion eventually led him back to where he started, a career in fashion, influenced by global architecture and his love of French culture. Engelbert´s inspiration for his label, Equipe Mode, comes from everything in the world around him, including the mild climate of Provence and the poem Fata Morgana by French surrealist writer Andre Breton. When reflecting upon his work, he states, "(the) clothing communicates a sophisticated approach to fashion: the freedom and passion for intelligent fashion design."

Engelbert´s ability to stay in-tune with classic design, while adapting to ever-evolving technologies and fabrics, is inspirational. He proves that it is possible to be innovative and edgy while remaining practical and true to your roots.
