Canada´s capital region is the prime location for a jaw-dropping inspirational festival. Every February, Ottawa is host to North-America´s greatest winter festival, Winterlude. This past year I went with the whole family and every age group found something to do or see. Hit the slopes, admire a giant snow light house and snow carvings, or try to find your way through a giant maze.

I´m going to take advantage of the ´Family Day´ public holiday and check out this years brand new sound and light show titled, ""Ukiuk"" which means ""winter"" in Inuktitut.

The highlight of the winterlude? Hands-down, best part is the International Ice-Carving Competition. Huge Ice carvings light up in fantastic colours. And you can even choose your favourite and text it in! Hope to see you there!
