Xian

Let me tell you, reading about Xian and physically passing though the magnificent city wall of Xian are two completely different experiences. Xian is one of the four great ancient capitals of China, considered the capital city in the times of the Zhou, Qin, and Han Dynasty. It was a breathtaking experience to see the fusion of old history combined with contemporary culture there, with the foundations of its walls lasting over 3,000 years of history. Every corner of Xian tells a story. I ventured off to see the Great Islamic Mosque, The Bell Tower, The Drum Tower and the Provincial Museum. The stunning Buddhist and Taoist temples fueled my urge to discover more about ancient Chinese architecture. The most overwhelming attraction of the city is the famous Terracotta Warriors and Horses from the Qin tomb. The monstrous scale of the statues is absolutely awe-inspiring.
